Stephanie, was not only the most kind, knowledgable, and down-to-earth employee, but she was also noticeably passionate about bikes and bicycling. The shop closes at 6:30 and by the time I got there, it was around 6. I normally never write reviews for anything, but I felt the need to after buying a new road bike at Alameda Bicycle. The rest of the team appeared to be just as helpful and attentive with their other customers. I left feeling very impressed with the whole experience and will be coming back for more bike business. The expertise and professionalism from Matthew was across the board. So he pointed out the super convenient air pumps and tire stands right off the sidewalk. He then also made sure to check my tires on the way out and mentioned that they could be filled up a little. I was so extremely thankful because I did not enjoy my seat at all - like at all. He showed me an even better road bike seat as opposed to the more upright cruiser seat I had before. This then lead to me explaining my gripes with it. Matthew offered to fix my bike saddle since it was tilted (was trying to tighten it all morning). Then I asked a follow-up question about my pedala.
Wow! I received stellar service from beginning to end with Matthew. Multiple team even members thanked me for being patient for so long and explained why theres such a wait for the bike type I wanted.Add in maintenance and warranty for life and the warm welcome to their family and it was a stellar experience start to finish. Never pressured me to buy anything, just made sure I had my needs met. George was fantastic- knowledgable and friendly, he helped me pick out the right locks and accessories so Im ready to go again. Not only did they make me feel comfortable COVID safety wise, they helped me determine if it was a good fit with no pressure. I was able to text with them and ask questions till one I liked came in.I finally picked up my bike yesterday and its a fantastic fit for me. Ive put my name on waitlists everywhere and they are the only shop you checked in with me and responded when they got stock.
